What’s in My Purse? Busy Mom Edition

Being prepared is the key to success. It means I’m not scrambling when hunger hits, or plans changed and when we’re out longer than expected. It means fewer impulse decisions and less stress overall.

Here’s what’s in my purse and why.

Food and drinks

Chomps beef stick

On-the-go protein for when hunger hits me or my toddler.

Cerebelly smart bar

Another clean snack option if my toddler is hungry while we’re out. I also use this as a better-for-you treat. If we’re somewhere with donuts, cake, or ice cream, I can pull this out instead. She actually prefers it because those foods aren’t things she ever sees me eating or that we have at home.

LMNT electrolytes

I love having electrolytes on the go. At restaurants, instead of my usual hot water with lemon, I’ll ask for iced lemon water and add an LMNT packet.

Pique Sun Goddess Matcha

For when I want something besides water but don’t want coffee. This is my clean backup.

Lakanto monk fruit sweetener

For matcha or coffee on the go and want to avoid the crazy pumps of syrup or white sugar.

I always carry backups of these because people always want to try them.

The little things

Simply Mints

Sometimes you just need a mint.

Claw clip

To get my hair out of my face quickly.

Branch Basics foaming hand soap

My hand sanitizer swap. Clean and gentle.

Lip balm

Hydrated lips always.

SPF brush

Reapplying SPF is an absolute must. This makes it easy and mess-free.

Bible

If I’m sitting somewhere waiting, this helps me stay off my phone and in the Word.

The system behind it

I carry these things because preparation removes friction. When I plan for hunger, hydration, cravings, and real-life moments, I don’t have to rely on willpower.

If you want to simplify this for yourself, use this rule:

A prepared purse includes:

  • Protein for you and your child

  • A clean snack backup

  • Hydration support

  • A better-for-you drink option

  • A few personal care resets

That’s it.

I linked everything on my Amazon Storefront so you don’t have to track it down.

If this helped you, save it or send it to a mom who likes being prepared too.

And if you know what to do but struggle to stay consistent, that’s exactly what MKH is built for.

Prepared beats perfect every time.
