The Non-Negotiables That Changed My Health as a Busy Mom (Part 6): I Train With Intention

Why “Just Showing Up” Isn’t Enough

Movement is good.

But movement alone doesn’t create change.

As a busy mom, my workouts have to do something. I don’t have time to go through the motions and hope for results.

If a workout feels the same every time, the body has no reason to adapt.

What Actually Builds Strength and Muscle

Progress doesn’t come from random effort.

It comes from intention.

Training with intention means:

  • Challenging the body instead of staying comfortable

  • Increasing weight, reps, or difficulty over time

  • Feeling the last few reps instead of stopping early

  • Knowing what you’re training and why

This doesn’t mean every workout is max effort.

It means every workout has a purpose.

What I Do Instead

This is how I train:

  • I track what I lift so I can see progress

  • I push myself when it matters

  • I listen to my body and rest when I need to

Short, intentional workouts beat long, unfocused ones every time.

The Takeaway

I train with intention because my body needs a reason to change.

Show up with purpose for your workout NOW.
