Why Doing More Cardio Isn’t Working

A lot of busy moms rely on cardio.

Walking.

Running.

Peloton.

Classes.

And they’re consistent.

But they’re not seeing the results they expected.

So they think:

“I need to do more.”

But more cardio usually isn’t the answer.

Cardio isn’t bad.

It just shouldn’t be your main tool.

Because cardio doesn’t build muscle.

And muscle is what actually shapes your body.

Muscle supports:

  • your metabolism

  • your strength

  • your energy

  • how your body looks and feels

And if you don’t train it…

You don’t keep it.

Strength training is what changes your body long-term.

Cardio supports it.

Not replaces it.

Another thing I see a lot:

Busy moms doing a lot of cardio…

but not eating enough.

That combination leads to:

  • constant hunger

  • low energy

  • poor recovery

  • stalled progress

Because your body doesn’t have what it needs to respond.

More isn’t better.

Better is better.

What actually works looks like:

  • strength training a few times a week

  • cardio as a supplement

  • eating enough to support your body

  • staying consistent

You don’t need to quit cardio.

You just need to rebalance how you’re using it.

Inside MKH, this is exactly what we focus on:

  • building strength

  • supporting your metabolism

  • balancing cardio and strength

  • fueling your body properly

No extremes.

No overdoing it.

Just structure that works in real life.
